degree. I have been with Oly through many lives. We've been together in this life since 1991.

I've been a pagan before and came to HT knowing what was expected of me from the group. I fly my broom as a single. I've raised 3 kids and now have 9 grandchildren: 4 by blood and 5 by marriage.

I live life as a pagan and as my religion. For me, it is a very personal relationship with the world and the divine. I no longer work. My health dues not let me any more. I have now become a Web addict, spending most of my time on Web space. I no longer answer my phone. I have it so that I can be on the Web.

I help Oly hide the ethereal bodies of those who annoy us. My specialties are Dark Moon magick and Rites of Passage through the Gateway to Reunions.

Craft Name: Aero
Magical Background:

Dedicated to the Temple of Hekate’s Torch in 2007.  In generally a spiritual person, I have always been a person of faith, even though I knew there was something more than the faiths of my parents, I always strive to learn about my ancestors and what they believed. I am dedicated to the Strix, and I do follow the Greek pantheon, but I also follow my ancestral deities, which is the Norse pantheon namely Odin, Freya, and Thor

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

I am learning about the different paths, and I’m very intrigued by the differing paths of different faiths. I’m skilled in many things thanks to my family, but mainly physical labor, but I love making things for people. The only real ability that comes to mind is that I can make people smile and be happy, even in the toughest of times.

Temple of Hekate Logos Nyx

  Craft Name: Medea
Logos Nyx - Craft Background:

I was raised to believe the Pentecostal faith in rural Kentucky and Tennessee.  My paternal grandfather was at one time a Pentecostal minister.  At an early age I saw what it meant to truly walk in faith by being raised by my maternal great grandmother.  Even though her faith was not what mine became, it gave me a background of what belief in one’s God and following that path means.  Although I was fed the Pentecostal beliefs I also witnessed the spirit world as well growing up.  Both maternal great grandmother and maternal grandmother had ‘gifts’ though they saw them as coming from the Christian God.  I learned at an early age the reality of spirits and divination although later in life I drifted away from such things.

I was exposed to the Witch’s path when I was eighteen and kept being called back to it.  I made life choices along the way which made it difficult to keep in touch with ones spirituality.  I became involved in the recovery programs in 1994 and in 1998 (when I was 35) I self dedicated myself to the Gods and started on a solitary path.  For sometime I only followed the God and Goddess and did not call Them by name.

I traveled a lot looking for what I did not know until I landed in Roswell, New Mexico.  There I met Oly, Enoch, and the other folks associated with the Temple of Hekate’s Torch.  I embraced Hekate and began to realize for me She had always been there.  My trials and experiences in life brought me closer to Her and in 2004 I dedicated to the Temple of Hekate’s Torch and became Her Priestess.  In 2007 I became a Priestess of Apollo.

I am back home now in rural Tennessee, this at Her bidding.  I am now the High Priestess of the Temple of Hekate’s Torch Logos Nyx and dedicate myself to building a home for myself and my family and a sanctuary for those seeking the path of the pagan here in the bible belt.  Change is slow but it comes and I am honored to be a part of that.

My skills lie with elemental magic and divination.  I study with Oly and others of like mind to hone these skills.  And I walk with the Gods to guide me.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
My life has been greatly enriched since then and I have learned what it truly means to walk in faith. I now live in AlbuquerqueNM (not by my own design either but for reasons She has I am sure).  I am a Priestess of Hekate and a member of the Temple of Hekate’s Sickle.  I am single (and plan on staying that way).  I have two grown children and three beautiful grandchildren who, shall we say, keep life interesting.  I study and read Tarot.  I also study the Magicakal Arts and Sorcery.   I believe my function at the moment is to learn all I can learn and to be open to what comes my way.  And always ready to stir the cauldron…gracefully.

  Craft Name: Lucien
Logos Nyx - Craft Background

I was born October 31 1983.  At age 3 ½, my parents divorced and I lived with my grandmother until my dad remarried and I found myself with 3 step sisters and a step brother, on top of having a stepmom. These were not very happy years for me because I didn’t fully understand what was going on and I didn’t see my mom but every other weekend.   At age nine I went to live with mom and my younger sister. Shortly after this, my mom got involved with a man that later became my stepdad and the dad of my youngest sister.

I didn’t really think about religion until I was 13.  It was then I started to attend an interdenominational church.  I attended this church for four years and went on a mission trip to Mexico.  Then I started to go to a Pentecostal church where I became a youth leader and Sunday school teacher and went on a second and final mission trip to Mexico.  After 5 years I wasn’t satisfied and went to yet another church where I also was a Sunday school teacher and a minister.  I had the honor of preaching every other week and sometimes was asked to fill in for the pastor when she was unable to make it to church.  During all this time I studied about other churches such as the LDS (Mormon) church and with the Jehovah’s witnesses.  Still, I wanted to know more.

I finally decided it was time to deal with my struggle over my sexuality.  When I went to my pastor about it, she told me she couldn’t use me in the ministry and stripped me of title and authority.   My world seemed to crash around me. I found myself trying to find out who or what I was and where did I belong. I tried to go to a local GLBT church (gay lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered), but that didn’t feel right. It was at this, "crossroad", that I met a woman at work who introduced me to Hekate.  I never had heard this name before, but as I studied about her, the more I fell in love with Hekate.  I started to see her face in everything from the clouds, to the tree line.  I even heard her voice calling my name.  I knew I had to follow her.   It was hard at first letting go of my past but as time went on, I have seen that I have changed more for the better.  I now feel really complete for the first time in my life.  I have been truly blessed.  I feel as if I have come home.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
I enjoy making incense and reading Tarot.  I am studying herbology and enjoy candle magick.

  Craft Name: Elektra
Logos Nyx - Craft Background

I was raised a Methodist and later changed to a Baptist (much to my mother’s dismay).  I was Baptized both Methodist and Baptist.  I wanted to be a Nun, but my mother pointed out that was impossible as we were not Roman Catholic.

I always knew there was something missing in my life.  I used to hear my mother and grandmother talk about Witchcraft.  I started reading about Witchcraft and found this was the missing piece I had searched for.  So I became a Solitaire at about the age of 15.  I never had an altar, but I talked to the Goddess although I really did not know who I was talking to.

My Great Grandfather was a Faith Healer and this runs through my mother’s side of the family.  My mother knew things from miles away and she had the gift of sight but it scared her.  She didn’t want to talk about things she ‘just knew’ or had seen.

I think I was being called to Hekate when I met Medea several years ago.

I am a Priestess of Hekate and a Priestess of Hades.  I am very accurate about *knowing* of people I meet for the first time.  I make candles, incense, and very interested in learning potions.  I am learning the Tarot from Medea.

My life has changed a great deal since I chose this path.  Sometimes it really did not feel like the best things for me but it has turned out to be the best in most cases.

  Craft Name: DAKOTA
Logos Nyx - Craft Background

My name is Dakota.  I will soon be fifty years old.  I am married to Medea and we live in Tennessee.  Our Temple Member, Elektra, lives with us.  We have our children and grandchildren in and out of the house as well as friends and Temple Members.

I was raised in the Church of God of Prophesy.  My Dad has been a pastor and preacher as long as I can remember.  I was taught the Bible from an early age and learned it well.  For a long time I thought I was called to preach.

As I grew older I began to really study the Bible on my own.  I began to realize it was not what I really believed.  So I started looking for something I could believe in.

About eight or nine years ago I discovered Wicca.  I was drawn to the Goddess Brigid and the God Pan.  About four years ago I met Medea, who later became my wife, and found myself drawn to Hekate and the way of the Strix.  I became a member of the Temple of Hekate’s Torch Logos Nyx on November 1st, 2008.  Medea and Elektra oathed me at Shiloh Battlefield in Shiloh, TN.  It was a very spiritual experience.

I am very busy around our Temple House mending things and growing gardens.  I am the primary Temple Cook and organizer.  I make incense and different craft item.  I practice elemental and candle magick.  I read the Tarot.

These are the special people the Temple accepts and reveres as true Priests/Priestesses of the traditions and people of faith. They are family to us, and we to them. Together we comprise the REAL Pagan Community. We are honored to have them in our lives.

I have had magical abilities all of my life. (Being able to realize or control them however is a different story.)After finally realizing that Christianity was not for me (thank you clue X 4), Ibecamepagan and have continued being so for 5 years, as well as, specifically studying Druidry and traditional Norse religion for the past 2.5 years.Hekate’s Torch was shown to me by way of my druid mother introducing me to Oly and it has been an amazing experience for me to be with these wonderful people in this group.I am honoured to be considered familia by the members of Hekate’s Torch, and enjoy seeing this part of my adopted family as often as possible.

Craft Name: Brenna Mar
My actual "Druid" name is hard to pronounce even for me.
Therefore, call me Brenna Mar which is "Raven maid of the Sea" in Irish.

Craft Background:

Raised a hereditary Druid.  At 9 passed first test for thoseseeking to be Druid (test of Trust), second at 16 (test of magic) and third at 25 (test of the Gods).  I turned down an offer to join an Alexandrian coven in 1973 because as I told them "I am pledged to the way of Oak and Ash.  I may serve no other." They wanted me to take an oath that would conflict with those I had already given.  At the death of my great-grandmother in 1981, I became "Keeper of the Nine Seals" which guards the ancient objects of power.  (This happened in spite of my marriage to  someone not "of the blood" i.e. not Druid. I have studied Celtic and Norse lore, magic and herbs for longer than I care to remember.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Mastered several forms of divination including Ogham, Runes, Tarot, Scrying, and some more obscure, like bird flight, which I leave out for space considerations.  Blessed/cursed with second sight and astral projection/remote viewing.   Magic abilities include:  song spells (Druid and Norse), trance magic including Seidr, Spae, Galdr (singing runes), herbal potions, plant, stone and other forms of Earth magic, bindrunes and other forms of Runic and Ogham magic, warrior magic, weather magic and many different types of energy healing including tonal.  I have given lectures on herbal medicine, Celtic/Druid lore and various workshops including potions.  I write rituals in either Druid or Norse traditions (I don't mix them!).

In my mundane life I have a MS in Analytical Chemistry.  I have been married to a pagan, David, for over 25 years.  I have a cat Widdershins aka Widget.

Craft Name: Amergin
Name: Ryan Coe
Craft Background:

Raised in various aspect of the craft since 14 years of age.  Mother was of an interesting path of the "Craft".  Formally a student of the"Craft" for 16 years in the tradition of Shamanic Wicca or Shamanic pagan aspects.

Knowledge, Skills and overall greatness

I have some learning of Lakota traditions as well as some learning of Celtic Shamanic traditions.  I prefer to look into the male mysteries and have been called a redneck pagan at times due to my love for the hunt and all that outdoor stuff.  (no, I can't stand Budweiser)  There have been numerous other curious tracks that I have learned from and will continue to learn in a meandering method as the whim strikes me.  I come from the Albuquerque region and am part of the Central New Mexico community.  Currently, I love to sing the tradition as well as tell children stories that explain to our young some of the lessons of the Craft.   Therefore, my skills are bardic, male mysteries and being the great and fantastic father that I am.

  Craft Name:  Camulus
Craft Background:

I come from a staunch Christian background.  Most of my life I was bounced between being a Baptist or Church of Christ.  I realized at a young age that my family has “gifts” of various types.  My family acknowledges them but is very adamant that we not talk about and or use these abilities.  I have been told I am a cynic but I like to think of it as being a realist.  I don’t believe that humanity has a greater good and that most people don’t really deserve to be here and or procreate.

I broke away from my family and Christianity when I saw the grace “a good Christian” could provide to people that came to them for help.  Two of my good friends had their lives ruined and were literally ran out of town by the church (because one came out about being gay, and the other got pregnant out of wedlock).

I’ve studied martial arts since the age of 12 and used martial arts meditation to help release and embrace my abilities.  For the longest time I was a solitary witch practicing Wicca but realized that it was not quiet the right fit for me.  I eventually was introduced to a grove ran by Brenna Mar and everything just felt right.  I now study and practice druidism as an apprentice of Brenna.

Through my grove I had the fortune to be introduced to the Temple of Hekate.  A natural kinship has been brewing over the last year and I have been embraced as familia.  I could think of no greater honor then to have Brenna, my grove, and the men and women of the Torch as my adopted family.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities:

My greatest gift is an open mind, my greatest skills are self defense and being a good politician, and my knowledge is limited but I am working on that with Brenna and Oly
